zixin's grandma's sister's 80th birthday at copthorne galleria ballroom

today was zixin's grandma's sister's 80th birthday at GCW Galleria Ballroom. zixin told me before, but i dunno it's today.. at first i thought it's a wedding, then as i set the tables and i looked at the floor plan then realise that it's actually a birthday celebration. THEN i SUDDENLY remembered what zixin told me before today.

zixin told me via sms on 09082008 lah.. so now i'm gonna post our sms.. Haha

zixin: hey Jox, hav you worked in galleria ballroom ,level 3 of your hotel

zixin: haha. my grandam's sis having 80th birthday there. andmy parents going. heh heh. nothing much lar.

zixin:6 sept. still quite long from now..

zxin: no. they only invite my parents. hha. if nt then i can see you wor.. then you serve me wor.. haha.

zixin: i dunno how many tables.aiya, if even me also need to invite then too many people go liao lar.

zixin: nono.. i too lazy to go. although it's fun to have you serve me xD just kidding=)

whao.. so long arh.. lazy to type liao... planned to typed my reply also, but too long liao.. so shall stop here... so, basically, zixin told me that it's today lor, and then say something about me serving her.. okok.. shall talk about today le..

today i worked 12-11

reported to office then askedto go paradiso help hisam first. then went to galleria to set up dinner. did a double job cos never check before taking the extra set of vineger, pepper and toothpick.. shall not elaborate..

then realise that tonight's event was zixin's gradma's sister's 80th birthday.

actually hor, zixin, your relative got ang moh and chinese mixed blood leh.. you like ang moh so much hor... i saw around 3 of them at the reception..

told chihoon on my way back that i almost cried 3 times.. ALMOST only lah.. never cry out..

first time i almost cried: when the grand children were testing out the video clip they prepared specially for the birthday gal.. the video was very touching and funny too... it shows the pics of the birthday gal from young to old.. shows the big family tree she has... shows her cuteness and shows how much her grand children LOVES her... almost cried cos i was touched by her grand children's effort in making that video, it shows how much they cared for her..

second time when i almost cried: when the video was played at the real event... the atmosphere inside the ballroom, was kinda touching... as if i can feel the LOVE that every guest inside the ballroom shows to the birthday girl. i looked at the video and then at the birthday girl. i imagined how she feels... i put myself in her shoe... if someone did all these for me, i would have burst out in tears immediately and will be really crying out loud de... I AM SO TOUCHED BY THAT.. only if when i'm able to live till her age, and if my grand children do the same to me.

third time i almost crid: when the birthday girl was going to cut her birthday cake. her family stood up in one accord, and REALLY wishing her a happy birthday, when the 3 version of birthday songs( one hong kong de, chinese and english) were play, those people on the stage with the birthday girl sang out, it once again aroused my tears... they asked her to make a wish... and i guess what wishes she's making " hope that my grand children sheng ti jian kang, hope to see my grand children's baby... blah blah...."

seriously, it's really touching lah... i've done some other birthday celebration, but really, this celebration is really heart touching in my perspective.. really, not bluffing... for other birthday celebrations, it does not impact me as much as it is today....

promised zixin to take some photos... but can only take this kind of photos... can't seriously take pictures when the event is running.. so, sorry zixin... anw^^^^ the signage for your grandma's sister's birthday... opps.. can see my reflection...

oh ya... almost forget... after the birthday girl cut the cake, everyone was suppose to have a little tiny box of cake... erm.. it's something like a door gift lah... chris asked me to count and it's exactly 150 pieces.. to answer to zixin's sms on her dunno how many tables, the answer is 15 tables and i VIP table...

the grandchildren were quite high... the emcee for this event is a chinese girl and a mohnese boy.. they were very high and in the end drank too much and some were really drunk, need others to help them " walk"... and that's all for this event..

ok... nowfor some random pics... this is a flower centre piece for the VIP table for one of the wedding at Galleria also.. very nice hor.. it's actually a bird cage, but they put candle inside instead of a bird... random

this week did 3 food tasting... then one of the days saw this couple having their solemnization and food tasting at the ssame day... focus on the bride's name, it's OH HOON HOON and the first person that flashed on my mind is LAU CHI HOON hahahaha... then was imagining when lau chi hoon' s name will appear on the signage (heh) hahahah... ok finish randoming... bye bye...
